small worlds and city limits, is to go to one specific place and shoot it every time I walk past and see what the differences are.
Going on with the theme above another way could be that I walk around the same way that I do on a daily basis and photograph that everyday to see if I can wait around in certain points of my walk and wait for a moment of something that happens.
Another thing that I could do keeping in the theme of walking in that area or walking around Plymouth using it as a small world and a city limit for me as it would stay within a walking distance. And nit pick all the little things of an area to see what would change what would stay or what would be missing
Presentation for idea 1:
possibly print the shoots on acetate paper and layer them on top of each other to see what image would appear after the same walk and run of images in the same location.
A way to present this could be using a map displaying my walk and then having the points be strung to the map and shown what is going on in that area.
A way to display this area could be with the post code of the area and then display the images around the post code such in a shape like a small world.
Idea 2:
An 4th idea that you could work with which is in a completely different theme to the others, is get in contact and see if a prison would allow me to photograph cells in a running prison to show what inmates live in and to show what there little room and world they live in compared to what I as a person have and maybe take for granted such as space and living condition that I may have compared to them.
Presentation for idea 2:
A way to present this type of documented photography would be possibly in an isolated start so, I would use sold plain colours like black or white and have them framed around the image but using card or paper so that you see the simplest and seriousness within the image.
Another way to display this work could be in a circle or bubble effect to show there own some world to what they have to live in compared to a person this would be more of an art take and viewing as this wouldn’t be as serious or a political argument style of work.
Idea 3:
What I could do for a 5th idea is inspired by a lecture we had with an illustration lectures and a brief that they received. As I overheard and find out for their work in illustration they need to create moments of things using strange and funny quotes that they hear and find in conversations. The reason that this would be a great project with small worlds and city limits is that when you’re in public everyone speaks out loud like no one’s around as everyone makes their own bubble and world like no one know such as in a restaurant. à the 1st thing would be find for my work the quotes so I would need to listen and be careful around what everyone says and not make it too strange if I’m listing to their conversations that they have. Then my idea to forum these quotes and conversations in an image would be either with the person on the spot such as a portrait. But I thought this is too of a simple and blank end for a great idea like this. What I would do is recreate a staged tableaux kind of image such as Sandy Skoglund does with her images. This would be really interesting and funny approach on context that may be said with a serious issue or with no knowledge of someone knowing.
Presentation for idea 3:
The way I would present this work would print out in block text to make the quote of the conversation visible and readable and place them next to the image would be mount to the bored/wall as I would let the quote and the image speak for its self as this would be a different, interesting and funny approach on this type of work.
